Welcome!

The Dial has existed, whether in print or in the memories of critical thinkers, for a long, long time. While TheDial.net has no direct lineage to the storied publication helmed by Ralph Waldo Emerson, Margaret Fuller, and others, we hope to further it’s early stated goal of making transcendentally-adjacent prose, poetry, criticism, and analysis available worldwide.

Through this mission, we hope to be among the forces of progress, helping to pull our species and planet away from the edge of the impending planetary cataclysm. Small task, we know.

Since the beginning of 2025, The Dial has been completely overhauled and invites submissions for inclusion in any of the categories of subjects we cover. Literary, Musical, and Cinema criticism are all welcome, as are opinion pieces on a wide range of issues of the day. Contact us at editor@thedial.net for more information.

Stay safe, be good to each other, and go easy on yourself.

Best,

Jason A. Velázquez,
Editor
